Departures Magazine wants to play!

Departures MAgazine have written an article about the best bars in London in which to release your inner child. Here is what they wrote about us.

The Doodle Bar

A child’s scribbles are often considered artwork by their doting parents – just not when they’re done on pieces of furniture or walls. But Doodle Bar is different. Unleash your inner child and feel free to scribble all over anything you see – walls, chairs, floors, even the bar itself. Sharing its housing space with creativity incubation project TESTBED1, this is a hubbub for artsy individuals, and doodles of all kinds are warmly welcomed by the proprietors. Who knows? Maybe the next Banksy will be discovered here.

The food on offer also won’t disappoint. Street Kitchen creates gourmet lunch boxes that are definitely snazzier than those taken to school as a child, featuring dishes like yoghurt mousse with crimson crunch apple compote and crumble. Artisanal breads are also available in the Pocket Bakery to satisfy any carbohydrate cravings after all that doodling. For those wishing to perfect their artistic talent, then attend one of the many exhibitions and classes that take place here, such as Life Drawing.

Thrill City likes our life drawing classes

So do we!
Life drawing is held on the first Tuesday of every month. Each month fashion drawing teacher Sue Dray leads a life drawing soiree, with each session having a different theme. The models will be framed by a theatrical display and the cocktails will be flowing. All welcome, come and draw! Drawing materials will be provided for a donation.
