The Doodle Bar is a bar and events space in Battersea where people have the freedom to enjoy a good scribble, play a game of ping pong and enjoy some street food on our outside 'beach' area. The bar is set against the backdrop of TESTBED1 - a dramatic and versatile arts and events space for creative innovation, ideas and experimentation. 

  • Italian Supper Club - Dinner by the River

    A delicious four course dinner inspired by the River Thames, brought to you by the Italian Supper Club. The menu will focus on some of the ingredients the river used to provide such as eels and ducks which were once hunted in and around the Thames and were a common staple for East End's poor.   • Storytime Sunday with Ada Grey

    The next Storytime Sunday will see Ada Grey  lead a  feast of creative activities. Spend an easy Sunday morning with the kids being creatively entertained by an exclusive reading of Ada's newest illustrated book  Hippobottymus  by  Little Tiger Press, followed by fun crafts with a Hippo theme! For the second hour, Bright illustrator Laura Hughes will be hosting Easter activities with her recently designed Easter range for Waitrose. 10am-12pm. FREE ENTRY but book a place here.

  • Monoprinting workshop

    During this workshop we will be testing your drawing skills! (Don't worry, tracing is allowed). You are required to design several drawings onto paper and transfer this onto cloth or card by applying pressure onto the printing plate. The workshop will allow you to discover ways of transferring your images onto cloth and card by drawing into the inks. Nicole will guide you though each process, resulting in final prints to take home with you. £15pp for 2 hour workshop. For full details visit the Doodle Blog.

    CS Shares is a brand new series of talks this summer curated by Creative  Social Kicking off proceedings is our Food night - speakers are Anna Barnett, Founder of Get in My Gob blog, Reluctant Vegetarian for The Independent, blogger for Vogue; James Smart, Co-Director of Dalston cafe, Save The Date, part of The Real Junk Food Project and Jon The Poacher who will talk about foraging, hunting and living off the land. Tickets and full details available from Eventbrite. £10, 7pm.
